Vanita Boswell, PHD
Founder & CEO
Vanita Boswell founded The VALO Group in 2014 to help brands think strategically about developing and leveraging their purpose. She is an award-winning storyteller with over 20 years of marketing and fundraising experience. Vanita is the Executive Producer of the Netflix Original Documentary, Rooting For Roona, which premiered in October of 2020. She has led conversations at the United Nations and Global CSR summits. Prior to launching VALO, Vanita served as the Chief Development Executive for Girl Scouts of the USA, where she designed and executed the $1B ToGetHerThere campaign for girl leadership - the largest in US history. The FBI honored Vanita with a Service Award showcasing leaders in Public Service and Government. Vanita holds a MS in Counseling Psychology and a PhD in Sociology.

Sanam Shetty is a strategic thinker with an instinctive gift for forging connections. With almost 10 years of experience specializing in human resources and recruitment, Sanam understands the critical need for organizations to strategically build internal and external environments that promote diversity and inclusivity. Her relational approach to partnerships enables her to insightfully understand and align business needs and motives. Prior to joining The VALO Group, Sanam worked with Two Sigma Investments, one of the world’s leading technology-driven hedge funds. During her tenure, Sanam doubled Two Sigma’s campus recruiting reach and co-led their first employee resource group for people of color. Sanam scaled sponsorship by 300% and project managed the company’s most impactful Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion initiative at The Grace Hopper Celebration. Sanam holds a B.A. in Sociology.
REBECCA LEE
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Rebecca Lee is an unwavering believer in the power of storytelling to engage audiences and raise revenue. As Creative Director for The VALO Group, Rebecca helps brands position, proclaim, and visually portray their purpose. An impassioned design and communications leader, Rebecca understands that compelling branding drives successful businesses. She is honored to have led the newsletter design and editorial for one of America’s most historic brands. The first issue with Rebecca at the helm secured a $64,000 increase in net revenue on the previous month’s issue. Prior to VALO, Rebecca spent nearly a decade in experiential marketing. As a Client Service Manager at oOh!media, one of the largest out-of-home media agencies in Australia, Rebecca executed live brand activations, campaigns and new product rollouts for clients like General Mills, Nissan, Specsavers, and Cosmopolitan. Rebecca has a B.Com in Marketing Management and B.A. in Media & Communications.
